Description

BCCI 2024 ALL #10 - $420

This Buck 112 brass bolster drop point, has the Buck Knives BCCI engraving on the back of the ricasso and the knife is signed by the artist on the back of the rocker arm.  You have to look inside the blade well to find my well hid signature.  The cost of this knife is $420.

Lapis Lazuli from the Royal Blue mines of Afghanistan

The scales on this knife are cut from one of the rarest stones I own - gem grade Royal Blue Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan, prior to Taliban control of the mines.  These mines have been in continual use for thousands of years. I have not seen a single piece of this grade of Lapis Lazuli in many years and I doubt any more will ever make it to the Lapidary Market as it is pretty much all being bought by China buyers for Jewelry use.  This knife is actually real jewelry.  This version of Lapis Lazuli does have some texture with lines and tiny pits the most observable.  This version also does not take the good Polish of the higher silicated version in the other series, taking what I would call a really good shine.

As good as the knife looks in the photos - This stone does not photograph anywhere near as well as it looks in hand.
